Nintendo Switch is set to launch its online service in September 2018. The company recently announced the launch date. The online service rivals X-BOX Live and PlayStation Network.

Nintendo Tweeted online service is due to launch in September 2018

Nintendo Switch users will now be able to enjoy online multiplayer gaming for an annual subscription fee of 20$. The paid online service is set to launch in September 2018. For now, the service can be availed for free. Although this small fee doesn’t warrant breaking a bank, Switch owners have consistently complained of expensive accessories that come with the gadget. The 20$ subscription fee doesn’t seem to go down well with the complainants.

Having said that Nintendo is yet to announce the full details of its subscription service at a later time during the year.

But what we know thus far is that gamers will have access to almost all of Nintendo’s classic games. The company intends to add features like leaderboards and multiplayer to these classic games as well.

Nintendo has already stamped its mark as one of the hottest gaming gadgets since its launch in 2017. The sales numbers have risen steeply to approximately 14 million units in just the first 10 months of its launch.  That number is expected to rise even more.
