HDMI 2.1

HDMI 2.1a is the newest edition to the HDMI family. The update version brought with itself support for greater resolutions and refresh rates (4K @120Hz and 8K @60Hz and 10K). The bandwidth capabilities have also been bumped up to 48Gbps (limited to the high speed HDMI cables), while dynamic HDR formats are also supported.

The ultra high speed cables, as stated above, are capable of delivering a transfer rate of 48Gbps. Furthermore, the cable delivers uncompressed 8K HDR signals, in addition to low electro-magnetic interference (which means there is less hindrance from nearby wireless devices). The best part is that the cable is backwards compatible, which means it can be used with preexisting HDMI devices.
