DESIGN

The design of Lenovo Flex 5 is, simply put, elegant. The weight of this laptop is 3.64 pounds (1kg and 651grams) and the size is 12.66 x 8.56 x 0.82 inches, which is very portable. If we talk about design, the model has a Lenovo logo at the right side of mouse pad which looks dazzling. It also has fingerprint sensor present at the right of mouse pad which is very useful when the security of the laptop comes into question. The speakers are present on sides of keyboard which looks astonishing. This laptop is made up of plastic which is in no sense sub-standard. It helps to make the laptop light and helps in reducing the cost of production. It is available in a sparkle graphite grey color.

CONNECTIVITY

Lenovo Flex 5 has two standards ports, a USB-C port for charging the device which can provides user up to 100 Watts of power and an HDMI cable port. It also has an SD card reader, which helps you to increase space and to save more data. Although it has one drawback, it does not have a Kensington lock so the security of this laptop is really affected.

SPEAKERS

If we talk about speakers, they are top firing speaker, present at the sides of keyboard. The performance, however, is not too good so it is recommended to use headphones or external speakers.

DISPLAY

The display of Lenovo Flex 5 is IPS FHD(1920x1080p). IPS displays are faster and provide wider viewing angles but are potential white glow from off-angles when viewing dark content. The color brightness and gamut’s of this model are sadly poor. The brightness level is 250 nits which although being great for indoor use is not enough, 350-500 nits are great for outdoor use. You will face difficulty during outdoor use and this is a major drawback of this laptop. This display will give you better viewing angles and color reproductions.  It has 4 sides narrow bezels which means more screen area . It has a glossy screen, which are easy to clean and have better color intensity and contrast ratios but this display does not have glare handling capacity so you have to face difficulty in viewing in the presence of bright light such as direct or reflected sunlight. Lenovo Flex 5 is touch screen which means it is 2 in 1 laptop and this is one of the biggest flex of this model. The touch is very smooth and comfortable. The display lid can be pushed 360⁰, so you can easily use it while touchscreen is enabled as well as while using the laptop in normal mode. The Lenovo Flex 5 has an activate Pen which is useful in taking notes during class or in meetings at work is one of the most powerful. It is comfortable to use, it is same as you use it in mobiles like Samsung galaxy note series and this is very expensive and great feature Lenovo provides to its users.   Lenovo Flex 5 14” important specs form

KEYBOARD AND MOUSE

The keys of keyboard are well spaced. It will improve your typing experience and have high stability. It has a backlit keyboard with 2 light intensity options which helps to adjust the light according to your comfort. The keys are soft and easy to press. Fast typers will enjoy the comfort ability of this keyboard. If we talk about mouse pad, it is smooth and comfortable to use. It does not have any button so if you want to click you have to press right or left bottom of the touch pad.

WEBCAM

The Lenovo Flex 5 has built-in 720p HD webcam with an internal microphone. The performance of the webcam is great, you can video call or attends your classes with HD 720p vision. It has a webcam shutter which is such a good feature for both privacy and cleanliness purposes.

HDD/SSD

There is 256GB PCIe M.2 SSD in Lenovo Flex 5, which can be upgraded up to 4 TBs. SSD runs faster than hard drive, SSDs are faster, lighter, more durable than hard drives and use less energy, but unfortunately, it is costly as compare to HDD.

RAM

It has 16GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM. 16 GB RAM is enough for daily usage and to run heavy software’s such as adobe Photoshop, light room etc. Furthermore it is enough to run heavy games like PUBG, free fire, Fortnite, GTA V etc. But regretfully, it has one downside this model’s RAM cannot be upgraded because it is soldered and does not have space for extra RAM.

PERFORMANCE

The processor used in the Lenovo Flex 5 is the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U mobile processor. This processor is perfect for office work, college/school/ university assignments. It is best for video editing and photo editing soft wares.  It delivers excellent performance to its users. Additionally for net browsing it is a notable processor, you can enjoy Netflix, Facebook, and YouTube etc comfortable.  It has integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 graphics. If we talk about gaming, it is great for light gaming (far cry 3, Mario, IGI etc.) but for heavy gaming (GTA V, PUBG, FORTNITE etc.) it fails to deliver great performance as it gets hot and affects your gaming experience. To counter the heating problem a cooling fan is provided which works great and produces no sound.Lenovo Flex 5 14”
